Portable Active Seismic Source – PASS
PASSは従来と比べ超小型の震源装置であるため、多数の装置の定常的設置ができ、連続的なモニタリングが可能となります。また、小型で軽量なため、費用を抑え、震源装置を簡単に設置できます。
PASSには、地下数十メートルをターゲットとした10cmサイズの超小型のものから、数キロメートルをターゲットにした少し大きめのものがあります。
Compared to conventional devices, PASS is an ultra-compact seismic source device, allowing for the regular installation of multiple units and enabling continuous monitoring. Due to its compact and lightweight design, costs can be reduced, and the seismic source device can be easily installed.
Various size of PASS has been developed and applied in the depth range from some tens meters to several kilometers.
